Inline Demister
An inline demister is used in air pollution control systems to remove mist or dust from a gas stream. Some common application are its placement before physical adsorption process such as carbon filter and after chemical scrubbing and bio thrickling filters.

A demister is equipped with a removable cartridge made from a washable mesh pad, installed vertically in a vessel, where the air laden mist moves horizontally.
The filter removes 99% of droplets larger than 10 microns. Mists is collected by inertial impaction on the pad.
An agglomeration of droplets will create larger droplets that would drain through the pad by gravity.
